Post Up
by Juan Aguilar

I stare out the broken window and
In my head I hear a whistle
Echoes from my friends
People who make my decisions
Down into danger.

I tell myself I am down
For what ever
Throw ups and throw downs
In both calm and stormy weather
I simply feel like my life is slowly
Falling
Like a soft feather.

I post up in the entrance
Armed with my black hoody sweater
Time flies by
And we have seen
A mother
cry.

She asks the same question that is mine
Why?
Someone once told me

That's just life

We die.

Indecisive
by Kayla Sharp

I am not sure I want to know

The wind chills
Tell me how the story ends
Fluttering back and forth
Can't hold reason.

I want to see the sun
Stay true to my word
Decisions too hard to hold
Somehow set me free.

Let us be
I'm not sure I want to know
Leaves turn
But I must stay true

I yearn for your company
Yet I don't want to go
Thunder strikes through
And I am not strong

Tell me how our story ends

Rain turns to rust
It's not all in my hands
Imagination
I just don't want to know

Loosened threads
Memories flow
Factories fade behind
What I wish I knew
Please stay true

Tell me how our story ends

Nothing Left to Hide
by Amber Higginbotham

Inside I'm feeling so alone, but I hide it with a smile
I go inside my room and sit and think for just a while
Think about the things in life and the times that I have had
All my emotions come to life, ranging from happy, to mad, to sad
I think of the people I know who are truly here to stay
Then I think of the people who have left, got up and walked away
The emotions slowly seem to fade
Leaving my room in a huge parade
I leave my room with a smile on my face beginning to head outside
The sun dries up my tears and I have nothing left to hide.
