- Red Cross Blood Drive - OC Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive on Wednesday, October 14 from 11:00 a. m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Mission Viejo City Hall Saddleback Room, located at 200 Civic Center Drive in Mission Viejo. Walk-in donors are welcome. Appointments and more information is available by calling 949-581-1100.
- Red Cross Blood Drive - The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Silverado HS on December 1, 2009, 8:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. You may donate if you are age 18, or if you are at least 16 years of age with permission from a parent. To make your appointment and for permission forms, see Mrs. Lindstrom in the Silverado office. You can earn 2 hours of service for your donation.
- Eco Surf Volunteers Beach Clean-ups - This volunteer organization stages beach clean-ups throughout the year along our coastline. Check their website for the next scheduled activities.
- Surfrider Foundation 1st Saturday Beach Clean-ups - Meet at Aliso Creek Plaza, Brooks St, Thalia, Forest Ave, Laguna Beach High School 8:00a.m. - 10:00a.m. on the first Saturday of each month. - Second Harvest Food Bank - Numerous opportunities are available to assist with feeding the hungry in Orange County. Check the organization's website for information: http://www.feedoc.org/volunteer.html
- South County Safe Rides (SCSR) - Non-profit organization, sanctioned by the Boy Scouts of America and based out of Mission Hospital, that provides a safe and confidential ride home to youth in need.
- Selected Friday and Saturday evenings 9:30pm - 2:00am, October through June
- Serve as a dispatcher or as part of a travel team as a driver or navigator
