Hotbot Search Engine (click on "advanced search" bar on left side of page, then under "page must include..." section check appropriate box for type of media you are searching for)

Singingfish (search for audio or video clips; try the advanced search - works great!)

• You can combine terms to ensure that you find exactly what you are looking for. For example, if you are looking for pictures for an English project connected with a particular work of literature, if that work has been made into a movie, you could search on the title and the word "movie" to retrieve stills of the production.
  • Example: "The Scarlet Letter" +movie
• You should enclose exact phrases in quotes and then use the plus sign to combine with other words and/or phrases. More examples:
  • "anthrax bacteria" (There's a band called Anthrax and lots of pics of them on the Web. This way you can avoid those.)
  • "Milky Way" +galaxy (Candy bars, plants, people's cats have the same name as the galaxy.)
